When in a flash of blue, sky caved in
And water came pouring through
Eyes // violent visions washed away
Ears // shrieks dulled to dulcet grey
Mouth // dirty words come out clean
Mind // even thoughts pure pristine
And time itself lagged like runners
Beneath the waves, wavering wayside
Wandering water like mother's womb
Until in a flash of light, sky blinded
Backs // solid ground hold weight
And heat of concrete upon our skin
Gave warmth to what little was left
