At Water’s Descent Poem by Nicholas Grass

At Water’s Descent

Rating: 3.0

The gushing of a waterfall over the edge of a towering cliff
Hailing down
Tiny droplets forming a great mass
Like millions of glass shards
Breaking loose of an enormous window frame
Hurling themselves to gravity’s mercy
Free-falling in fluency and elegance
Belittling me in both grace and size
As I watch the diamonds descent before my eyes
In continuous, gaping awe.
