Atheism Poem by Joshua Swanson

Atheism

I walk alone, a cold hard road,
Through keening winds on mountains high.
I see the chasms on either side,
I took the path less travelled by.

I left the crowded lands behind me,
Walked off proudly, head held high.
My only light a blood-red moon,
I took the path less travelled by.

I thought I sought for knowledge, truth,
I thought to look beneath the lie,
Never guessing what I would find,
I took the path less travelled by.

I went to prove my god existed,
Found only a story, a tale, a lie.
Now I walk alone, a lonely road,
For I took the path less travelled by.
