Athens Is Burning Poem by Wolfess Furry

Athens Is Burning

Lift me up, only to violently cast me back down again
Give me hope, only to heartbreakingly shatter it to pieces
You give me the world, and than send it down burning in flames all around me.
My heart tattered and blacker than the ash of what remains of all that I once knew.
I gave my all, and you tore my heart out.
The empty loniless crushes me, and I turn into all that I have left...
I am nothing, I am worthless
A mere reminder of what once used to be.

POET'S NOTES ABOUT THE POEM
Wasn't as good as it should've been, I stepped away for a moment to get all the crying out and sort of interrupted my whole flow.
