you stand miles away
and watch me
on the grandest stage
burning
screaming
writhing in agony
i call out to you
i scream your name
your satisfaction
running parallel
with my cries
i shed a tear
in turn, you smile
your life long wait
just became worthwhile
i beg for your mercy
i plead at your feet
your contentment
reaches paramount
i scream one last time
with a final breath
i accept my defeat
my wounds still bleed
but even blood can stay loyal
for oh so long....
