August Memories Poem by Randy Wayamori

August Memories

Bicycle rides down city streets
Lazy days, with blazing heat
Swimming trips to the local beach

Vacation Bible School with games and stories
Off to camps, enjoying God’s glory

Popsicles, picnics, paper planes, and more
Suntans, sunburns, sunblock galore
Munching on melons ‘til our mouths are sore

Relatives visiting from other places
Off to Disneyland…no parking spaces!

Exploring the neighborhood on your skates
Reading books, and staying up late
The sun settling down, after half past eight

Summer’s good times’ must end we know
So off to autumn…watch the cool winds blow!
