August Or May Poem by BASAB CHAUDHURI

August Or May

An apple once bitten
Sweeter than the whole,
All the day's journey
Ends up at the pole.

There the sun sets
The sky crimson red,
Stars rise up early
Leaving their hollow bed.

Soon it becomes dark
Day erases its mark,
As the day takes its toll
I slowly cross the pole.

Night is sweeter
Than the day,
I don't remember
If it's August or May.
