August Sunshine Poem by Natasa To

August Sunshine

Watch, a star
from the August sunshine,
as if my father brush away the supper crumbs from the table at home.
His apron, slipping now and then, smells of hot papper and onnion
The sweet scent of his garden
sending me to sleep beside her tonight again.
