Austin Hippy Hollow 1996 Poem by Charles Harvey

Austin Hippy Hollow 1996

Nothing brown here

But me and the scrubbery shrubs.

Nothing rhythm here

But the water’s watery tongue

Singing… lap lappity lap

To the jagged rocks

Wooing the sun.
