Awaiting Poem by Amber Torres

Awaiting

Watching the first leaf fall
She surrenders the remains of her shattered soul in the name of love.
Flustered and love struck he delicately captures each piece.
A sudden rush of tranquility fills the air
Past ghost now only a memory.
Harmonious streams of color dance in the wind
Eyes looking of prominent blue
But as forceful winds emerge ghost come about.
Along with the sky her lovers eyes are now fading gray
Autumn deceased
She attains a new ghost.
Winter awaits.
