Away, away, away we go!
Away from here for ever more.
We ride, we ride, we ride away...to our futures.
Blindfold our eyes,
We must learn to find our way in the dark.
Blindfold our eyes,
But leave our hands unbound,
So we may catch ourselves when we fall.
Fall many times we shall, in the beginning.
Soon may we learn not to run,
But to tread carefully.
When we master the darkness remove our blindfolds
And pray the light does not momentarily blind us.
But let it show us how to appreciate our surroundings.
May our eyes see keenly,
So we may catch those still blind and clumsy.
So bright, so bright, so bright shall be the end,
When we shall rest
And join the twinkling stars
Which light the darkness.
