I wish I could start
Back from the beginning
Where thought was simple
And love was true.
I wish I could start

Of where I got lost
Thinking of you.
I wish I could start

When I thought I could say
Love would see me through.
But I'm going to start
Back at the end
Because who you are
Is what love has done to you.
