Ballade Of Time Poem by Dannais dde Daneann

Ballade Of Time

All’ be gone, be gone forever,
Nothing will be back returned,
In this short life vain endeavor,
Moment blissful will be burned.

Rose will drop sweet-scented petal
If her blossom passed away,
Flame will lost its shining mettle,
Centuries will in ground lay.

Same fell silent sounds of horn,
Clatter of the fierce hooves,
And the ruins bitter mourn:
Guard the mortal granite roofs.

Shield of fate in halves was broken,
Cup of sorrow drunk to dregs,
Passed away, the olden talking,
And became the silent grave.

Silent stones and darkest night
Guarding restlessness alone,
Where from last and fatal fight
Never destined return home...

All’ be gone, be gone forever,
Nothing will be back returned,
In this short life vain endeavor,
Moment blissful will be burned.

And it’s loneness, and it’s sadness,
To remember, to forget,
Where's my whitemaned faithful charger?
Where did my life erstwhile spread?

From my head, where is the crown?
Where's my sword for doughty quest?
There’s no Kingdom, there’s no throne,
There’s no grave to lie in rest.

Shield of fate in halves was broken,
Cup of sorrow drunk to dregs,
Passed away, the olden talking
And became the silent grave.

Silent stones and darkest night
Guarding restlessness alone,
Where from last and fatal fight
Never destined return home...

All’ be gone, be gone forever,
Nothing will be back returned,
In this short life vain endeavor,
Moment blissful will be burned.

And it’s loneness, and it’s sadness,
To remember, to forget,
Where's my whitemaned faithful charger?
Where did my life erstwhile spread?

Here fell silent sounds of horn,
Here’s no courage at the face...
Only ruins of the Dome:
Guards the gray and granite base.

Here the prostrate lies banner,
That leet down dead man's hand
Under walls of ruined manor
In the ashes defunct land.

Silent stones and darkest night
Guarding restlessness alone,
Where from last and fatal fight
Never destined return home...

And it’s loneness, and it’s sadness,
And it’s nothing to be changed…
In this life so short and zealous
Moment back be not engaged.
