Banshee Poem by Sanya Zahid

Banshee

An enchanting beauty it has
Gives a visit to a hundred houses a day
Jagged practice it has
But sorrows those visited families away
Make their hearts feel like
Unfilled forever
Scarcely plays with their hearts
For a forceful day
Trailing their loved ones
Who else can it be?
Than a formidable banshee
It sentient our strength to grow
From days it is
Like gone with this
Fill those hearts with its appalling song
The stride is spaces that fuse their hearts
Lonely evermore
