Baptism Poem by Keri Jopplin

Baptism

Remind me of Your blood & that You died for me
Please forgive me when I doubt You & listen to my plea
You sooth my weary soul, my doubts as I see myself
I know Your truths in the bible upon my dusty shelf

You know my anger flares & all that I can't take
You hear my cries & emptiness as I lie awake
Walk beside me now... I've known You since my youth
Wash away my fears & doubts, deliver me Your truth

Cradle my empty heart while showing that You
care
My life is so chaotic Lord, I pray that You are there
