Barely Human Poem by Jadion Winsmults

Barely Human

I stand ready to fight.

I fight so many battles;

I fight every battle.

I am barely human;

That is why I fight.

You probably think

I fight to be human;

I can never be human.

The moment I am,

I will inflicted so much pain.

I fight with one hope;

I will destroy all humanity.

I cannot be human.

But I am human;

Therefore, I am barely human.

Your words have a sense of real that I think this world lacks. People tend to not understand how people with depression live, if you can call it living. It's more like we just seem to exist. We all have those internal battles and all we know how to do is keep fighting. I am looking forward to your next poem. Keep writing, and don't forget to use this gift God has given you, and sharpen your skills every chance you get.
