Barrier Poem by Melody Stargaze

Barrier

This barrier that separates us,
Is my own personal hell.
This wait is too long for us,
But it's going well.

I love the way you look at me,
And the way you say 'I love you',
I just wish that we,
Could be together for more than a moment or two.

Distance is like the plague,
It does horrific things to the heart.
I'd pay an arm and a leg,
So that we didn't have to be apart.

I love you, no matter what.
And I can't wait
To be with you no matter what,
Once I graduate.
