I live alone in Baskers
on the other side of town
in a cabin, at the east
but seldom am I found
nestled in a forest deep
near the twins called orchard ponds
If you travel by at night
you will see the lights left on
The roof keeps out the rain
the walls keep in the heat
the floor is softest pine
and feels sturdy under feet
It knows just who I am
It knows from where I came
it knows my troubles past
and loves me just the same.
