Battle Cry Poem by Mark Walters

Battle Cry

Banners waving in the daylight
Egress the shadows of dark night
As rabble rousers to the fight
Order the fray, 'Attack, attack! '

Trumpets long and louder blare
As angels pressing on declare
Heaven's host that day will fare
And the enemy of man falls back

A sinner lost in sin's dark tide
Deep in prayer, this day decide
His life's old course is set aside
As hell's best effort fades to black

From among the ranks of common man
God's ensign must now make a stand
To wrest God's sons from Satan's band
With battle cries of, 'Bring them back! '
