Please be careful how you talk.
Please be careful how you walk.
Please don't wake the monster in my head.
It's sound asleep,
Tucked in its bed.
When awakened it brings dread.
It sets a fire in my head.
Pins and needles pulling thread
Tightening its grip inside my head.
Pushing out while pulling in,
My head explodes, my skull caves in.
I need relief before it's too late.
Before it sets in, that pain I hate.
It starts up front and spreads all around.
When I try to smile, I can only frown.
As time goes on, it just gets worse.
These chronic headaches, they are my curse.
To my body from my head,
The headache pain it likes to spread.
Is there nothing I can do?
From the bottle, relief I drew.
The aspirin beats the monster down,
Until the next siege of my crown.
