Be Kind Poem by Astell Collins

Be Kind

I screamed in my tears
As I questioned my fears
Why isn’t the baby fed
And by whose grace will I be led?
Like the seed that contains the tree
So is God inside of me
I do not know what I will be
But I am aware that I am the mystery
As a participant in His creative mind
His elegant love beseeches me to be kind
