Be not afraid of Death
He is your friend; and,
Like a good friend
He would visit you uninvited,
Expecting no formalities!
If you are not home
He would find you;
Because,
He keeps a tab on you
And knows where you are.
Like a good friend
He would never seek favours,
Rather, will bring you favours:
He would take away all your worries
That you best tried to escape
But couldn't succeed.
He will heal all the wounds
That this world inflicted on you,
He will cure all your illnesses,
That kept you in suffering;
That no doctor could cure.
He would take you away
From all who you wanted to run away
But couldn't succeed.
He will take you to your final destination
And will tell you
Not to worry about accommodation!
He will let you meet your Creator,
And give you a chance,
To say all your grievances,
That you blabbed all your life,
But nobody listened to.
Finally
He will lull you to sleep
The kind of which you always wished;
undisturbed, uninterrupted, unending.
