Be Right Back Poem by Herbert Hagell

Be Right Back

It's the tale of 'Be right back'
How many times we say each day
I don't count it or keep track
We return with small delay.

But how long is b-r-b
Every time, wait and see
Anywhere from two to ten
Then we're back to talk again.

If it's more than a moment
Have to tell before torment
Hard to wait for time to come
When you're not sure of the sum.

When time stretches to later
No one wants be the waiter.
So, tell it right when you leave
Give the number we can believe.
