Be Worth Remembering So they Never Forget
The crowd is roaring your heart is pounding this is where it all begins
The stage is set
This is a test
Do your best, beat the rest
Be worth remembering so they never forget
Come hate come distraction come disappointment
They'll beat against your heart
But you will conquer
You will prosper
endeavor
Your journey has begun
You lose your step once, and you're already outrun
Be not just the one that ran a race
Be the one that did it with grace
And kept a constant pace
Be the one that's kept a smile on their face
Even when you've lost the race
You did your best
You fulfilled your quest
Sweat dripping from your visage
Hitting your bare foot that batted against the rocky planes; pain was no pleasure
And you still didn't have the treasure
But you got more than that
A price that no currency could ever measure
It was your race
But by someone else, your price was won
For a second there you could've sworn a part of your soul had fled and gone
Strength woman! Persistence
Perseverance
endeavor
It was your race to run, not to win
They laugh, they mock
Do not give in
Those gold and silver medals, they all material of the earth
The same earth that was thud by fire rock
Your price is high above the clouds, your fans aren't the cheering crowds
But the rejoicing angels,
The one to pat your shoulder is not the man in the suit,
But the one on the throne
He, and He alone
For they that stand with you do it out of jealousy
Authorities that claim democracy
Yet they can't give freedom to their hardened hearts, green and heavy with envy
empty prosperity
Beat against your chest
For you've won the victory quest
You're bigger, braver, better than the rest
Live with the satisfaction that
God is with, within, for, and by you
He saw what you did, He knows what you will do
You weren't number one
But He says you've won
You are who you are
You've done all you could, and it's got you this far
You weren't number one
But He says you've won
He gives you a crown
all is dusted and done
You did your part
Stayed true at heart
Now they'll certainly remember you
How could they ever forget?
