Beautiful Day Poem by James Casey

Beautiful Day

Rating: 5.0

Beautiful Day

In the light of red morning's dawn
Over there I see a mother and her fawn

A cool breeze brushes past my face
I feel alive in this wonderous place

I feel the droplets of moist fresh dew
They fall on my face, such a precious few

Feelings of peace and serenity
Leave me grounded with my identity

As the sun rises over the trees
The mother sees me and together they flee

I look to the sky and come what may
I know in my heart it'll be a beautiful day
