Beauty In Pain. Poem by Sudipta Bhattacharyya

Beauty In Pain.

Stay dear! Time is fleeting.
Sit beside me for some time.
Not I endure or accept your early parting.
Waiting for thousand years, I have seen only grey eyes of the darkest owls!
I have seen only charred bodies;
Children of God left the world forever;
Grey eyes of prisoned birds frighten me always.

Stay dear! Time is fleeting.
Your rosy cheeks, coral lips
Ignite flames into my heart;
For my heart is long starved
Seeing the loveless pity & grace.

Now I wish your sensual sedatives;
Want to be benumbed lying upon your soft lap forever.
