Beauty: Out Of The Heart Of The Owner Poem by Daniel Uju

Beauty: Out Of The Heart Of The Owner

Out of the eyes of the beholder
Beauty is seen for a while
Out of the heart of the owner
Beauty is far from the smile

Mirror mirror on the wall
Greatest deciever of beauty call
Its not the cloths i pick
Its not the face i seek
You know the truth deep down
Beneath these features i frown

Strip me off
Let the beholder behold
The ugly sight underneath the cloth
Where true shame lies
Where false fame flies

O you silly beholder
How beautiful am i in those eyes with a frame?
How come you alone holds they key to my beauty?
Throw me a spare so i could see the same
To feel confidence in this shame

When you go blind
Will my beauty be blind too?
When you die
Will me beauty die too?

No mirror
Reflect my inner in full
Let me see
So much the beholder holds
Make me more powerful
To see me beautiful
For as long as my hear beats.

The beholder sees for a while
But the owner see forever.

POET'S NOTES ABOUT THE POEM
Dedicated to those who feel they are beautiful only when somene says it.
No, i dont believe beauty is in the eyes of the beholder. I believe it lies in the heart of the owner.
You are beautiful and all you have to do is know it and feel it, dont give people the chance to make you feel it, because they will one day bring you down. Am handsome and i know it.
