((Because We Are)) Poem by Emancipation Planz

((Because We Are))

You cut
and I bore tributaries all over

You are 19 today
and even tho the umbilical cord severed
the bloodlines never…

and each dropp bled
started somewhere
..where the droplets end up is irrelevant
Just that the supply should not stop…

Before you bleed out, you bleed within..
Chasing the supply is filled with lifeline supports
Tracks built by nature and nurture,
Fuels fired by foods of life and love
and more of lately, demons

Love,
Yourself

My words are not meant as futile drifting meaningless

Son, I have been close to your place within your years
and promise you survival is so worth the future living gifted us all..

Know well,
You do not have to know who you are
Just that you must love yourself always

Shame, pain, abuse, confusion sits with us all
But our standing efforts of love and living always win tall

None of us ‘dodge the draft’ that four winds constant blow
and feelings gained in our existence, light flames to glow

these continue to guide, build
and with radiance
we gather the embrace of many who proudly walk life’s journey with you
as you do with them…

kia kaha, (be strong)

Love Mum xx
