Because You Know My Heart (Sonnet #285) Poem by Tina Baaklini

Because You Know My Heart (Sonnet #285)

Should the world forsake me, with me you'll stay
For our soulmate bond has no expiry date,
A soulful bond is not a game to play,
The temple of my heart your love illuminates.

Because you know my heart, so tender you are,
Because the breath of life in both hearts beats,
You embrace my soul as your only star,
With tenderness you wrap your words and deeds.

When I look at you my heart starts to blossom,
As a spring tapestry of red rose buds,
Your pure heart reflects a heart so awesome
Where a pristine love flows, boundless as floods.

When the earth ceases to be, alone I'll be not,
Your hand shall still hold mine against the odds.
