Bee With Me Poem by Nkululeko Mdudu

Bee With Me

Rating: 5.0

Deals are done and made and broken,
Lies are told with Blinded purpose.
Things are said when words aren't spoken,
And this to you I now propose:

I am NOT Mr Right,
I am left handed.
I do NOT like it when we fight,
It's NOT like I planned it.

I am not a God-send,
Although God is with me.
I am here to understand,
And to know all about you, Bee.

This is not a poem if I am not a poet,
This is not a letter if I'm not a liar;
This is the truth as far as I know it:
This is paper so keep clear of fire.

This is not a contract,
It's not legally binding;
Not a statement to retract,
Just my words for your reminding.

I know what I want because I know me;
I don't know how to get it because it has no label.
There is no 'open here' sign on you Bee;
There is no Bluetooth, no infrared, no USB cable.

I cannot explain WHY I am,
I can only know who I am.
I want to know all about you,
But that's not all I want from you:

I want to have you when it's time for you to be mine,
I want to see your beauty fair and fine;
I want to read you when you give me the sign,
And I want to tell you this ain't nothing but a line.

VERY GOOD! It is playful but has a lot of maturity, Nkululeko... it speaks from the heart.... well done.
