Beer In The Morning - Poem by Jon Butter

I'm drinking beer at 9: 38 AM.
Damn, no, it's cider.
I want to be one of those guys who's
so loose he can drink beer in the morning;
but I'm not cool.
I like it sweet, and if you were here,
you have no idea how sweet I'd be.

    Excellent love/erotic poem. I like the way it starts with the bitterish beer and then the preferred sweeter cider-a compromise. And then ties it all in from beverages to personality and longing. (Report)Reply
