Before His Face Poem by Slim Jay

Before His Face

I fear the day i would meet my lord
For i'm a sinner and my deeds lay before me
I fear the day i would stand before his face
For i've wronged him in many ways

His signs to me, i paid no heed
His holy books i cared less to read
I learnt the way and became proud
And i shut myself inside, in sin
The glitter of the world, i persued
Sin and vice, enveloped me

I fear the day i'd meet my Lord
What words would i have to say
How can i defend my wrongs?
Or would i have to just tag along?
