The decline of days would be my treasure
As daylight yields to a moonlit shimmer
Dusk looming in silhouette conveyance
Clouds drifting by in cotton abeyance
My mood in response to imminent calm
As night delivers serenity's song
A distant rustle of twilight murmur
As water lapping and tallgrass tremor
Closing my eyes to a world far away
I long for the winds of change, come what may
Humanity living and loving in peace
As the sun would set in the moon's release
Seas would steady as storms would calm
Embrace for life greater, acceptance long
For soon I lay down though before I sleep
I pray for all dawns, tranquility keep
You and I will live as no tomorrow
In the voice of reason, pain and sorrow
August in the spirit of better days
Will we champion conference once portrayed
May our hearts enlighten to dreams come true
Our days' contentment night's rested virtue
Coming of days would afford us promise
As the dawning of moonlight's transparence
