when we make love
let it be dark

as dark as you cannot
see me or us

then we kiss in the darkest
moment

even with eyes open
even with arms spread
even if you do not hold
me.

let our lips enclose
the beauty of our two souls.

in this darkest moment
we are no longer our bodies.

we are no longer our own
shame.

such a shapeless soul
such an enduring love
such a blind divinity.

before twilight arrives
we tiptoe our own departures.
