Alone I cry, hiding it behind a laugh
Alone I remorse, hiding it behind a smile

My loneliness so deep it cuts into my soul
Leaves me an empty shell without emotion

As our paths cross
I look into her eyes

In that second her eyes met mine
The world stopped and I spent eternity with her

The joy I felt in my own laugh
The memories forgotten on a distant memory

As time began again
All joy was lost

Left in the sparkle of her eye
Left in the radiance of her face

Her eyes told me she loved me
But her heart was with another

So……………..
