Believed In Love - Poem by Jana Courville

I used to really believe you were the one
I could see being together for awhile with you
Every day I would wake just to be with you once again
Just to see you smiling, and hold you
I remember how you wouldn't get mad at me when I held you close
Even though you acted like you didn't want to be held before I did
I wish so much to have to back with me
If I could I would kill everything that holds me away from you
But I can't....
I was waiting for you
I couldn't even dream of anyone taking your place in my heart
But I lost you because I loved you,
I let you go because I loved you....now...
I am in this place of judgement,
This place of decission,
Because...I love you...
I can tell you that
We are weaker than ever,
Though we are in our strongest moments...
How? ....love
We are closer in state
But now farther in heart...
If only I could see you one last time
If only I could somehow run away to you...
For you.. because I love you
I would give it all up...
Just for you...
To see that smile again,
Feel the warmth of your touch...
Even knowing, that pulling away would come again.
