Beloved Stranger Poem by Asma Khan

Beloved Stranger

Scattered roses on my grave
like dreams on fire
meaningless to the heart
yet you admire

Dazzling, delicate snow
of thoughts covers your sight
farewell to the pain,
I beg my right

Tomorrow the winds will
continue their breeze
yet my name, you will find
in every unfolded crease

Break the spell and
set the desires free
be sure no dreams, nor echos
can be like me

Hush the puffed clouds
of doubts away
remember, I'll wait for you
even if it turns gray

My pain begins where
your patience ends
forbidden desires are the toys
nature breaks and bends

How much the moon reflected
your emptiness?
We all admire it, but
non sees the loneliness

The heartbeat fades
you are no longer aware
finally, this funeral
will call for my last prayer

Scream loud, but no one may hear
free me from the
caged desired for
I can't anymore bear

Shrouded by the pain,
I am consumed
after your departure
my heart never bloomed!
