Parting is no sweet Sorrow.
I felt the sadness in your eyes
"Fix me…dad… fix me,
What's happening to me"
As you sought to be ‘normal'
But, your back legs had gone
I saw the sorrow, the bewilderment
In your Loving face, ‘why are people here? '
I felt it Ben, our hearts and spirits entwined
I couldn't fix you, Ben,
I would have given anything…
But, I couldn't fix you…I know what I did…
‘Was for the Best…' knowing it is no peace
I saw your bewilderment, the confusion,
I felt it Ben, it seared through my heart
Parting is no sweet Sorrow…it's a loss
That will not heal, until reconciled in Love
Friendship deeper than ever experienced
Does not fade with Time,
…it deepens, Oh Ben, it deepens…
