Once a week on Wednesday
She'd hurry out the door
Her Hefty Bags a bouncing as she ran
In her baby doll pajamas
Like so many times before
Then she's head back up the driveway for her cans
Now it seemed that I was always
Just a couple houses back
Trying not to trip over my chin
She's always look around the parkway
And find some little scrap
And with her back to me
Just before she went back in
She gave me a bendover smile
She was cool calm and collected
I was dieing all the while
She could have come and said hello
But that just weren't her style
She gave me a bendover smile
Maybe it was merely
Pure coincedence
How she showed up every Wednesday faithfully
But each week as I was waiting
For showtime to commence
I wanted to believe it was for me
Her pretty hair was curly blonde
Her skin was clear and fair
Lord it was such a treat to watch her strut
I must have looked like I was hypnotized
As I was standing there
Cause I just couldn't take my eyes off of her butt
When she gave me a bendover smile
She was cool calm and collected
I was dieing all the while
She could have come and said hello
But that just weren't her style
She gave me a bendover smile
She never spoke a word to me
We never really met
She moved away and now it seems like just a dream
I've been a garbageman a long time
But I never will forget
The finest lookin can I ever seen
