Bereaved Poem by Susmit Panda

Bereaved

Stars and Planets! Are you not for me?
A lonely soul's eyes(barred from the sight
Of care) seal upon you their vigorous plea -
Shouldn't you prove them your celestial light?
Should you ask me to keep from dreams?
Is it not you who poured them the wheat of Life?
Then would you bid your governing gleams
To put your own law and doctrine to knife?
There are your messengers strewn on earth,
Have all marked your footfalls against mine -
Oh! that I could not spit them a mirth
Often my eyes have received the warmth of brine!
Still I am living, still walking on my trend
Seducing my faith on you, are you yet no friend?
