1.

I saw, the little boy, thin and lean,
Full-viewed, yet unseen,
Writing forth his lonely thoughts in rhyme
Couched on his chair every time;
...

When your dark shadows haunt and loom
My wits turn sound of Life's great fertility;
When your python-embrace turns me to doom
I torch my day's unpartable magnanimity;
...

Stars and Planets! Are you not for me?
A lonely soul's eyes(barred from the sight
Of care) seal upon you their vigorous plea -
Shouldn't you prove them your celestial light?
...

I had heard a second would be your smite,
That what you are would drop in a moment's light;
That mortals be done in a grasp,
The steelest pain be in a clasp,
...

The butterfly was out in my business
Over restive sandals without recess;
Crazed was she, for she had known
A secret which is mine own;
...

The streams of delight so well thrive
From your eyes, whereupon I mine
Shall fix; forgive, if a glance should arrive
At your hands, and thereupon shine;
...

What language is the wind's? The sky's?
What the stars'? Do I not know
That from every star supreme tales arise?
That from every quite flower there flow
...

No, not every eve must I appear,
Or else, desire dares to grow,
And I'm bent to craving you more near;
...

A life exquisite is what I ache for,

Splendid, celestial, divine to the core;
...

I have come to the brink of my travels;
There the verge clearly unravels;
The span between two buds of a stalk
Covers the relics of my walk,
...

Death, I ask, who are you?
Give me your clue!
"I am Lust! ! "
Come on! Can Lust be so dead?
...

That one tune lives in every music;
That one word echoes in every rhyme;
Listen to the varied earth, you'll pick
That one thought as the basic pantomime;
...

I stand in the broad majesty of Night;
Often I see a lone fireworm hurtling in air
In emerald bliss - it delights my sight;
It stirs me, as I chase it with puzzled stare,
...

LUST was chaste when I loved you;
It wouldn't be born of my fibre or flesh
But of my heart; it had Love's own hue,
Love's own perfume, sweet and fresh;
...

Crying, I opened my words,

Laughing, they were took by the herds;
...

A fool's brain has a plenteous space;
Of the entwined world he is not sound,
Of perils and pounce that may fall apace,
Of sinisters to which each modesty is bound;
...

I carry an account of all such men
Who chase chances now and then
To escape their tongue from the grip of mouth
And bleat, in a voice so uncouth,
...

If the sword's been given don't wait for war,
If wings' be placed don't await the winds to cool;
To the first bugle of dusk every tiny star
Soon attends the zenith despite a cloudy pool;
...

19.

I did not tell you what I should have told,
I pruned it half; though your interrogation
Received the pleasure of complete gold
I did not provide its due evaluation;
...

Whose damned chamber is this?
Strict-edged pebbles, born to be strewn
On Earth's vain, ungreeted chalice,
Lie on the floor like a glorified boon,

Poet

I saw, the little boy, thin and lean,
Full-viewed, yet unseen,
Writing forth his lonely thoughts in rhyme
Couched on his chair every time;
Tears would sometimes be seen on his face,
Or he'd laugh with cheery grace;
Between his fingers his pen, I saw, was set -
I said, "He - he is a poet; "

I see, but tonight what - what I see,
The moon's burning brightly,
Her beams have wrapped him ‘round in fetters,
Though he still has letters;
His lids are painful; he couldn't tilt to fight,
These are shackles of Light!
Bonded, bound by silver serpents of fret -
I corrected, "He is no poet! "
