Best Angel Poem by kelani kafar

Best Angel

You said you loved me
And that come rain or shine
You would provide me with the needed-shelter.

You built me hope in hopelessness
And you gave me an everlasting home in your precious heart,
So that I would milk
And drink the sweet potion of love.

You came in a chariot of love
And you told me it would take me
Beneath your soulful heart
Where we would live.

You sang me a love madrigal
And you said I should hold the lines to my heart
Because they contained the ingredient
That would nourish our love.

You told me we had less time to water our luscious love;
That soon our greenish pasture might turned grey.
And we would have less energy to flutter like two lovely birds
That had just found love.

You said if we acted fast;
Added more manure to our fertile love,
We would love each other forever
No matter the grey on our heads
And we would be the best angels that had ever loved each other.
