Best Friends - Poem by Amy Chatman

I can't quite understand
How I didn't know it then
But now I see
How much he meant to me
I think about him every night
Wondering how he got out of my sight
We used to be such good friends
But that all came to an end
I still don't know how
But I wish it could be the same way now
That it used to be
Best Friends, him and me
