Betrayal Poem by Tulsi Shrestha

Betrayal

BETRAYAL
How can I distrust a loyal- sweet heart?
That always promised to beat only for me
My heart too spelled only one name
That is no other than your own name
We both enjoyed a pure passion of love.

I dedicated all my youth and wealth
To satisfy ecstasy of your lust and thirst
But you betrayed me for a young girl
You ignored the beauty of innocent heart
Preferred to enjoy with the beauty of flesh.

Why you are fond of drinking red wine
That flows from my eyes as bloody tears
Why do you make me scream and cry?
Still I cannot hate you for cheating me
As long as the Sun and Moon exist in the world
I will wait for you, for your strong hold
This tale is enough to make anyone weep.
