Better Off Without Each Other Poem by Ray Hansell

Better Off Without Each Other

Love is a wonderful feeling
When you find the right one
You feel like you've hit the jackpot
You're having your day in the sun

It's a very special feeling
That hits you in the heart
You hope, you and this feeling
Never have to part

But sometimes people in love
Start to slowly drift apart
A feeling that was strong
Starts to slowly depart

That unconditional love
That was strong not long ago
Has slowly dissipated
As the flame of love has lost it's glow

People will always wonder
Who or what is to blame
Never even realizing
That people just sometimes change

It's always sad to see love die
After all the love that was shared
I know deep in their hearts
For each other they still care

But in their hearts they both believe
This is the thing to do
You're better off without me
As I'm better off without you
