Better Sit Down - Poem by Maynard Hartman

First to pull the stars,
from the sky.
Another day…
You found another way,
to bring it all down…
Better sit down.
‘Cause I can see,
your pieces on the ground.
And now I’ve got some news for you;
I’m coming to town…
Better sit down.
You’re a tragic mess.
I’ll show you what to do.
I’m coming to town,
to bring you down,
and down...
Better sit down.
I’ll send the dogs along,
to keep you inside...our wonderland.
Better sit down.
