I still think about you at times.
I'll be reminded of a funny thing, and you'll pass through my mind.
I'll sit and reminisce on the good times...
Then feel stupid because I know you don't do the same.
Because I know WE were just a game.
A game you won every time you hurt me, and I took you back.
I wonder why I stayed so long. Truth?
I loved you more than you ever did me.
And when I finally left I know it did hurt the same for you.
But GOD it feels good now.
Leaving you made me stronger.
Showed me I'm truly worth.
Showed me what I now demand.
So when I think of you, and feel a pinch in my heart at the memory of the pain.
I remember the armor I've built.
The built-in protection around my mind.
I remember to stay true to myself.
I remember everything, leaving you taught me.
And smile at the memory of who I used to be.
