A Waltz For Zizi
Between Her Heart And Mine - Poem by A Waltz For Zizi
I spent hours kissing the lips of her
caressing her blushing cheek
holding, and hugging so hard
as to leave an impression of her
onto my love drunken heart.
Counting and placing the names of the stars
upon every freckle that shone
in the sky of her face,
made me feel brave,
as a discoverer of new worlds,
and god how full of sin they were.
Ah! That lovely face!
that not only once I've sadden
and flooded with rains of tears,
how much I loved to watch and adore
in her peaceful sleep
and how much I used to wonder:
'Am I the one to make her smile in her sleep? '
Well, as it turned out to be
I wasn't more than a stuffed animal
to keep company and warmth
and to throw away, as boredom creeped
between her heart and mine.
