Beyond Death Poem by Michael P. Johnson

Beyond Death

Is something beyond death waiting?
Beyond the stars above
Or someone anticipating
The warmth of Heaven's love

Is someone beyond hope's curtain?
Beyond life's misty maze
Revealing notions uncertain
Enlightening death's haze

Can there be a heaven whiling?
A haven meant for all
Where truly a God is smiling
Knowing our names to call

Certainly no God's malicious
Hateful won't be His way
Nor can His action's be vicious
To children gone astray

The bible can't be true in all
No God could be so cruel
As was displayed at Adam's fall
Failing to keep a rule

Or will 'Too late' become one's cry?
When death's dark facts we learn
Realizing no soul can die
Where Heaven's sent to burn

If hell could be our outcome
If Jesus' death was true
We need to cease behaving dumb
And pray to start anew

Ere truth calls life's researches
Let Heaven open eyes
For many even in churches
Could face a sad surprise.....

COMMENTS OF THE POEM
Alexander Johnson 24 December 2014

Unfortunately for me I have no faith. I, for better or worse have been left with only my senses to guide me. It is a spiritual affliction, but I don't believe in spirits. Whether I am lesser for this lack of Faith, who can judge, maybe one day it will happen.
