Beyond That Brick Wall Poem by Moh Ishu

Beyond That Brick Wall

Wild young imaginations exorcised,
Clogged up with advice expertise
Drawn above—a canopy of fake shines
One of love, yet an unseen callous
Innocent sundered young minds
Trapped between steel lines.
Criticized is the vigorous malefactor
Quiet oblivious he is though;
The young are not, by nature callous—
But in that way, they are made to grow.
Hesitate do some; to step out they fear
Though exhorted to be confident by elders—
Remaining ever quiescent, those little dears
To take a peek, the wall's too high
For scaling it, the barrier's too wide
Fail do they to travel beyond
Yet, hiding away under the ground.
No scent of freedom, hassle alone accompanies
For hardly mutable will they be
Tantrums harness their incompetent conscience
Collapsing these rootless idiocies
Perceive the other end, let your fear abscond
For at times, meagre will joy be and no haven found.
